COURSE DESCRIPTION

One of the greatest challenges a general practitioner faces, is how to have the time, resources and training to solve complex dental problems within their own practice.  Yet, more and more, patients would rather not be referred out to have their dental needs met.  Additionally for a general practice to meet its full potential the execution of more complex treatment is a must.  Dr. Cranham will present the Dawson protocols to solve a myriad of complex dental problems with special emphasis on evaluation, diagnosis and treatment of the worn dentition, as well as looking at the terminal dentition when the “all on four/five” implant solution is the best option.

You will learn:

• How dentistry is changing, and why having a “usual and customary” practice can actually put you at risk.
• How to position your practice to take it to its full potential, and why this could actually be the best time EVER to be a restorative dentist.
• Why tooth wear becomes harder and harder to fix, the longer it goes on.
• How to diagnose the specific cause of wear, along with the specific protocol to solve the problem.
• How to treatment plan the terminal dentition for an “all on four/five” solution, and how to know if you should be doing a hybrid, or a full arch zirconia restoration.
• How to choose the best material/porcelain system for the esthetic outcome you desire.
• Communication skills to help increase case acceptance for more complex cases.

THE SPEAKER

Dr. Cranham founded Cranham Dental Seminars, which provides lectures, mobile programs, and intensive hands-on experiences to dentists around the world. In 2008, Cranham Dental Seminars merged with THE DAWSON ACADEMY, a world-famous continuing education facility based in St. Petersburg, Florida. As The Dawson Academy’s acting Clinical Director, Dr. Cranham is involved with many of the courses and provides continuing education to dental professionals across the globe. He spends approximately two-thirds of his time in private practice and the other third as an educator. He believes this balance keeps him on the leading edge of both disciplines.
