COURSE DESCRIPTION

 Implant dentistry is evolving rapidly due to the advances in digital technology. This lecture is designed to remove the mystery behind digital dentistry and take advantage of the enhanced safety, accuracy and efficiency that it can offer. Demonstrating proven workflows and compatible technologies that are in everyday use. This lecture will show you how to implement digital processes that will result in fewer patient visits and reduced chair time while simultaneously increasing accuracy in both surgical and restorative applications while delivering a cutting-edge service to your patients.

THE SPEAKERS:

Dr. Edgard El Chaar & David Marten

Dr. Edgard El Chaar is currently a Clinical Associate Professor at the Department of Periodontics and Implant Dentistry and the Director of Advanced Education Program in Periodontics at New York University College of Dentistry. Former Director and Founder of Advanced Education Program in Periodontics at Lutheran Medical Center. He has a thriving private practice in New York City that specializes in dental implants and periodontal disease. He is the founder of EEC Institute, a continuing education and research institution focused on the advancement of clinical periodontics and implant dentistry. He travels several times a year to lecture internationally and domestically and has published several articles in peer-reviewed journals. 

Dr. Edgard El Chaar completed his Doctorate of Dental Surgery, his postgraduate education in Advanced Periodontics and Dental Implants, and received a Master in Oral Biology all from New York University. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology, Diplomate of the American Board of Implant Dentistry. Member and Fellow of the American Academy of Implant Dentistry and Fellow Member and Fellow of Implant Team of Implantology (ITI), Fellow of the International Academy for Dental-Facial Esthetics (IADFE) and Member of American academy of Periodontology and Academy of Osseointegration. 

David Marten is the Digital Workflow Manager for BioHorizons Implant Systems where he supports the implementation of digital technology for implant planning, placement, and restorative solutions throughout North America. Mr. Marten has been using digital technology in dentistry for the past 15 years. He has a B.S. in Materials Engineering which has complimented his experience in implant dentistry. In the past 10 years, Mr. Marten has held positions such as CAD/CAM Regional Manager, Guided Surgery Specialist, and most recently Digital Workflow Manager. He has had the opportunity to work closely with hundreds of clinicians and labs in many different markets to utilize digital workflows.
